White Bros. Music was founded in 1976 by brothers R. G. and W. T. White in the village of Okemos, Michigan. Our guiding philosophy is that music brings harmony to the world and is an important part of our daily lives.
The store moved to nearby bucolic Bath in 2014 and sells nearly all types of musical products, offers private music lessons and specializes in string instrument restorations.
Whether you are a musician or just appreciate music, it's worth a visit to see the antique violin and zither collections. Unusual and unique instruments are also a specialty.
Originally trained in the art of luthiery by a neighbor from the Detroit Symphony, further studies with other shops, the Michigan Violin Makers Association and the Violin Society of America honed the skills of W.T. White, the remaining partner in the firm.
Most of these instruments are circa 1880 - 1910, with the exception of the "trumpet violin", made in Romania c. 1970.

Banjos, Ukes & stuff. Bass drum is from a dance band c.1930's
